Tharum's blog

About me

Hi, I’m Tharum Bun. Welcome to my weblog!

At the intersection of media and technology, I'm netrepreneur and tech writer. Currently, I help innovate Kiripost, a digital media company covering Cambodia’s business, tech, and startups. Here's a blog post I wrote about Kiripost for its launch in late 2021.

I worked as a communications specialist with proven media pitching skills and media outreach experience. I’m a curious, tough, quick-witted, entrepreneurial individual.

I tell the stories that connect people with company’s mission and products. I create and drive compelling narratives, campaigns, and announcements around company’s business. I write public statements, write press communications, and pitch.

During my spare time, I write this blog, musing from Cambodia. This is my blog, which you can find my writings. I’ve been blogging since 2004. This blog is about technology and me. I live and work in the intersection of technology and media. You’ll find my blog posts about digital technology, travel, photography and living well.

Blogging, technology, and photography

In 2004, I started as one of the earliest bloggers in Cambodia (probably the first). After spearheading this blogging phenomenon, I enjoy blogging ever since. You can read all the archived news about my blogging and Cambodia bloggers here.

I founded KokiTree, a Phnom Penh-based marketing agency that aspires to make businesses and their online presence more creative. KokiTree lives at the intersection of digital, technology, and business growth. Blogging, digital technology, and networks have changed my life and career. I’m proud to inspire young generation of Cambodians to start blogging.

During my spare time, I write my blog and take photographs.

I delved into photography world in 2005 when my father gave him a film Nikon N75 camera for my first-ever flight trip to London, United Kingdom. Since then, I continue taking photographs as a hobby while also selling my work to support my travel.
