Hi, I’m Tharum Bun. Welcome to my weblog!

At the intersection of media and technology, I’m netrepreneur and tech writer. Currently, I help innovate Kiripost, a digital media company covering Cambodia’s business, tech, and startups.

I’ve got over a decade of work experience in digital media, communications, and public relations. My work have appeared in The Huffington Post, The Phnom Penh Post, Global Voices Online, Tech In Asia, ICTWorks, Voices of America, IRIN News, Red Herring, and more. Also a blogging pioneer, in 2017 I founded kokitree to help people and businesses launch a blog and craft web content.

I worked as a communications specialist with proven media pitching skills and media outreach experience. I’m a curious, tough, quick-witted, entrepreneurial individual. I enjoyed telling the stories that connect people with company’s mission and products. I created compelling narratives, campaigns, and announcements.

My work has also appeared in a variety of publications, including The Huffington Post, The Phnom Penh Post, Global Voices Online, The Asian Correspondent, Tech In Asia, ICTWorks, Voices of America, IRIN News, and more.

During my spare time, I write this blog, musing from Cambodia. This is my blog, which you can find my writings. I’ve been blogging since 2004. This blog is about technology and me. I live and work in the intersection of technology and media. You’ll find my blog posts about digital technology, travel, photography and living well.

How I started out? In 2004, I started as one of the earliest bloggers in Cambodia (probably the first). After spearheading this blogging phenomenon in my home country, I enjoyed blogging ever since. So, blogging, digital technology, and networks have changed my life and career. I’m proud to have inspired young Cambodians to start blogging.

I delved into photography world in 2005 when my father gave me a film Nikon N75 camera for my first-ever flight trip to London, United Kingdom. Since then, I’ve continued taking photographs.
